Caleb Lester September 13, 2012 Civil HY 101 Maneck Egypt and Mesopotamia Throughout society near winning civilizations usually compare and contrast with each other. For instance, Egypt and Mesopotamia, they had some similarities and were different as well. They were the same in geo bright locations, ethnical views, scarcely different in religion. To begin, the primary reason that Egypt was so successful was because of the Nile river. By it being so close, they had easy place and took advantage of their opportunity. On the other hand, Mesopotamia had a great seed of water as well. They were surrounded by two rivers called the Tigris and Euphrates. They coupling were next to a source of water which complemented them with fertile farming and helped create the base of their success. Egypt was lucky they had the Nile River because it provided them with so much for their graphic resources. Also, the Nile provided so much water that it flooded which left the suck up fertilized for the plants. Another thing Egyptians did was catch fish and hunt animals. To whereas, Mesopotamians had an irrigation bole which fertilized the soil to help grow their plants.
They could not depend on their two rivers like Egypt could with the Nile. They both knew how to take advantage and distort to their natural resources. The lifestyle of the two civilizations shared some similarities besides had some differences as well. They both were ruled by individuals, who exemplar of themselves as queen regnants. Mesopotamias king was Hammurabi. Hammurabi had set a economy of laws to let others know the punishment for crimes. On the other hand! , Egypt called their king Pharaoh. Egypt consisted on focusing more on the sacred aspects of life. The Pharaoh would be known as the king sent from the gods, who were to steer the world.
